Before too long, all of our dining room chairs will look like this. I wonder, if my grandpa had lived beyond my teens, would I eventually have asked him to show me how to cane a chair?
If you were me, you'd have handed the chair over with a big smile and asked him to fix it! I have a theory that we only acquire the skills that fill the gaps in the repertoire of our nearest and dearest.

I love cane chairs but sadly it is a craft well outside my repertoire. I agree dottycookie could probably fix it though! K x
